- Games will be 18 minutes running time – no half-time; no changing ends.
- Teams will consist of four (4) field players plus one (1) goalkeeper – ie. 5 vs 5
- No player may play on two different teams in the same division.
- All players must wear indoor shoes (flats) or sneakers. NO turf shoes, NO molded cleats.
- In case of conflict in uniform color, the home team (team listed first) will be required to change. Bring alternate jerseys.
- Roster size is unlimited – 10 awards maximum to winning teams.
- Winning team in each division will be the one with the best record based on the following:
- Win – 3 points Tie – 1 point Loss – 0 points
- Ties will be broken by:
- Head-to head competition
- Positive goal differential (up to 3)
- Least goals against
- Most goals for
- Coin toss
- In a division with semi and final, winner will be winner of the final. Ties in finals broken by 5 minute overtime, followed by 5 penalty kicks.
- Goalkeeper (when releasing the ball with hands or a kick) must either throw or kick the ball out so that it touches the floor or another player BEFORE crossing the mid-court line. If not, an indirect free kick will be awarded to the opposing team at midfield. The goalkeeper may, however, kick the ball across the half court on a normal play – not punts or goal kicks.
- Goalkeeper many not use his hands outside the penalty area. Penalty: indirect kick.
- Free substitution on the fly as the game is in progress. Player must be off the field before sub comes in. Coach’s responsibility if caught short. No delay will be allowed.
- Clock will stop only for serious injury, if ball is lodged in a closed area, or at the referee’s discretion.
- Off-side rule is not in effect.
- All fouls will result in indirect kicks, except violent fouls (referee’s judgement) and intentional fouls in the penalty area. In this case, a penalty kick will be awarded.
- You cannot score directly on a kickoff.
- On kick-offs, ball may be played directly forward or backward.
- On kick-offs or free kicks, the defending team must be at least 10 feet from the ball.
- A player receiving a yellow card will serve a two (2) minute penalty. Team plays short until other team scores, or until the two minute penalty is over, whichever comes first.
- If the other team scores and more than one player is serving penalty time, the first one in comes out. If each team has one player serving penalty time, neither player comes out; both must serve their full penalty.
- A player receiving a red card must sit out the remainder of the game in which the card is given and the following game. The team will play short for a full two (2) minute period.
- The referee or the tournament director has the right to suspend a player or eject a player from the tournament for flagrant misconduct.
